Piece Story

Yuquan

Jade-like brilliance and starry depths.
The pot body is plump, embodying the "Qin Quan" (Qin Weight) style, symbolizing an unshakeable steadfastness. After the cat's-eye green duanni clay undergoes kiln transmutation, golden sand particles emerge dense against a dark green base; as you turn the pot, it appears as if a galaxy is slowly drifting by. Cat's-eye green duanni belongs to the kiln-transmuted category of duanni, created through the transformation of symbiotic green and purple clay ores in the kiln. It features a dark green base densely packed with golden sand, offering a rich granular texture, a sturdy body, and excellent breathability. Liu Hao’s choice of clay is not limited to a single type; he handles purple vermilion, duanni, and mutton-fat white clay with equal ease—this dark green piece, in particular, best reflects his discerning eye for material selection.
Best for: Green tea, light oolong, and raw Pu'er.
Ideal for: Those who appreciate the colors of kiln transmutation and the warm, jade-like texture of clay.
