Piece Story

Ru Ding

Tripod formation. The teapot body is rounded and plump, supported by three nipple-shaped feet that stand firm and steady. It features a mushroom-shaped finial and a minimalist, monochromatic white aesthetic, reminiscent of the sky after a snowfall. Crafted from raw mutton-fat white clay—a distinct variety of white clay—the piece boasts a texture as fine as fresh snow and a pure, warm, and understated luster, showcasing the true essence of minimalist ceramics. Liu Hao excels in both minimalist and decorative styles; his "Elegant Stone" piece was featured in the Yunzang Studio Autumn Auction. This nipple-tripod teapot exemplifies his mastery of clean, form-focused design. White clay is a true test of material quality, and this uniform purity reveals the artist's genuine skill.
Brewing suggestions: White tea, green tea, raw Pu-erh.
Suitable for: Those who appreciate minimalist white ceramics and the ancient charm of three-legged vessels.
